Delete your data
You can remove what Socio Pulse holds about you at any time. Pick the option that matches what you want to remove - they are not the same thing, and the difference matters.
Option 1 - Disconnect one social media account
Use this when: you want Socio Pulse to stop having any access to a Facebook Page, Instagram account, LinkedIn Page or TikTok account, but you want to keep using Socio Pulse.
- Sign in to Socio Pulse.
- Go to Social Accounts.
- Find the account and choose Disconnect.
What happens immediately:
- The stored access token is destroyed. We can no longer publish to that account.
- We ask the platform to revoke our access on their side as well.
- Any scheduled posts to that account stop, and are reported as failed rather than silently dropped.
What stays: the record of posts already published to that account - what was published, when, and who approved it. That is the agency's own business record of work performed for a client, not platform data, and it is retained under section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
Option 2 - Remove Socio Pulse from the platform itself
Use this when: you want to revoke access from the platform's side, which also works if you cannot sign in to Socio Pulse.
Facebook and Instagram
- Go to Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Open Apps and Websites.
- Find Socio Pulse and choose Remove.
Facebook notifies us automatically when you do this. We destroy every stored token for your connected accounts and mark them disconnected - no email to us required. Facebook will show you a confirmation code; you can check the status of that request here at any time.
- Go to LinkedIn → Settings & Privacy → Data privacy.
- Open Permitted services.
- Find Socio Pulse and choose Remove.
TikTok
- Go to TikTok → Profile → Settings and privacy.
- Open Security & permissions → Manage app permissions.
- Find Socio Pulse and remove it.
LinkedIn and TikTok do not send us an automatic notification. Revoking there stops us using the token, but to have the stored record removed as well, email us using Option 3.
Option 3 - Delete your whole Socio Pulse account
Use this when: you want everything gone - your account, your content, your media and your connections.
Email privacy@sociopulse.com.au from the address on your account, or use the contact form and choose "Delete my data". Tell us:
- the email address on the account, and
- whether you want the whole agency workspace deleted, or only your own user.
What happens:
- We acknowledge within 5 business days and give you a confirmation code.
- We verify the request came from you - we will not delete an agency's workspace on an unverified email.
- We complete the deletion within 30 days.
- All social media tokens are destroyed, all content and media are deleted, and your user record is removed.
If you are one member of an agency workspace, deleting your user does not delete the agency's content - other people still rely on it, and it is not yours to remove. We delete your user record and personal details; the posts you created stay with the agency, attributed to a removed user.
Two things we cannot delete. Posts already published on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok live on that platform - delete them there. And billing and tax records must be kept for 7 years under Australian law.
Check the status of a request
If you have a confirmation code, you can look up the status of your request without signing in.
